Lorie Ritschel, PhD Durham, NC (United States) Dr. Ritschel received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Kansas, completed her predoctoral internship at Duke University Medical Center, and completed postdoctoral fellowships at Duke and the Emory University School of Medicine. She joined the faculty at Emory in 2008, where she founded and directed the DBT program and conducted research on depression, BPD, emotion dysregulation, Behavioral Activation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and DBT.
Ritschel relocated to North Carolina in 2013, where she is currently Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Clinically, she treats adolescents and adults and has expertise in the treatment of BPD, depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
